Go Cage Free!

We have the ability to save 107,000 hens each year from the cruelty of living in cages.  In order to do this, we need to ask the government to go cage free.

Sustain are running a campaign called "End Cage Cruelty" which is calling on the government to change the buying standards and make government departments, prisons and parts of the armed forces go "cage free" with their eggs.  Government Buying Standards are compulsory so if the standards were changed it would save 107,000 hens per year.

(Figures from Sustain, 2011)

Did you know that caged hens spend their lives in less space than an A4 sheet of paper which inhibits them from behaving in their natural manner and is extremely cruel.

If you reside in England, please can you click on this link in order to fill in a few details and contact the government asking them to go cage free.

Please share this with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or by any means necessary.

Thank you.
